Evita Feldberga is a director of the Sectoral policy department at the Ministry of Economics of The Republic of Latvia. Evita has extensive experience in innovation policy and digitalization in the private and public sector. By leading national and international policy incentives, projects and teams she has gained knowledge, experience and practical skills to advance economic development. Evita believes that growth of the economy should be built on collaboration between public and private sectors to improve the quality of life for the whole society. As cluster policy expert Evita has practiced in European Union and beyond, in a year 2020/21 Evita received the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Award to flourish the knowledge of ICT policy and economic development. Evita holds a master’s degree in the organization and management of international economic relations.
Peter Kulich has been working in the eGovernment field for more than 10 years. Within public administration, he worked as a project manager and he was responsible for the ITMS2014+ project. Since 2018 he has been working in the private sector as a senior consultant at Slovakia.Digital specializing in ICT public procurement, cloud and the concept of open API. He also represents Slovakia.Digital within professional working groups under MIRRI. He also works as an external consultant for MIRRI.
Igor was born in Košice, where he also graduated from the Technical University. He founded Antik in 1990, as a developer and manufacturer of advanced image processing devices. 10 years later, Antik started providing internet services, adding digital television and cellular network in the following years. R&D teams in Antik are implementing Igor’s ideas to devices and software in the telecommunications industry, hospitality segment, sustainable mobility or smart cities, found in hundreds of solutions around the globe.
Ivan graduated as a PhDr from Charles University’s Center for Economic Research, in Economics theory. His work experience involves investment analytics in a real estate investment fund, he was also managing assets of Czech and Slovak insurance companies and he worked in a pension fund in Ireland. In VSE Holding a.s., Ivan managed projects such as Unbundling of VSE H, Lean transformation of VSD a.s. and Seller’s due diligence during the acquisition of 51% of VSE by RWE Gas SK. Currently, Ivan manages VSD’s telecommunication business and expansion of the VSE H group.
Ján Kromel was born in Vranov nad Topľou. He graduated from Geochemistry at Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2006 he started working in LYNX Inc. Košice, as a security specialist, where he is still working to this day. Currently, Mr. Kromel is the head of the Forensic Analysis and Penetration Testing department. He has multiple certificates in system administration and security, i.e. Sun Certified System Administrator in 2009, SANS GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst in 2015 and SANS GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware in 2017. After over 10 years of professional experience in IT security, his main interests are forensic analysis, mobile devices security, penetration testing and their combinations. He has employed his expertise in these subjects in multiple public sector institutions from the cybernetic security segment.
Even after many years in IT security he still sees himself as a beginner with a great desire to learn more.
Július Selecký has worked in informatics and cybersecurity for more than 10 years. He studied in the Department of Information Systems at the Faculty of Management in the Comenius University in Bratislava. Július also gained his doctorate there. He is a lecturer at the Faculty of Management, his lectures’ subjects are information systems, management and security. Július joined ESET in 2018 as a Senior Technical Pre-Sales Representative. His main duties are consulting, primarily for enterprise clients, testing and presenting ESET products.
Milan works as a penetration tester and head of the Offensive Security department at Lifars. His main area of expertise is in Red Teaming, Phishing and web application security testing. His previous work as a penetration tester in Computer Security Incident Response Team Slovakia – CSIRT, Nethemba and many more, provided Milan with experience in mobile and web applications and infrastructure testing. He also deployed his thorough knowledge of IT security in the area of Responsible Disclosure and multiple Bug Bounty programmes and competitions.
Milan Kyselica has a number of certificates, i.e., GIAC Cloud Penetration Tester (GCPN), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OCSP), Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) and Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP).
Michal Meško (1984) graduated as Master of management and marketing at Faculty of Management at Comenius University (Bratislava, Slovakia). He also studied Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School (Boston, USA) and consumer behavior and e-commerce at Rijksuniversitat Groningen (The Netherlands).
In 2000, he co-founded Referaty.sk, the largest website for students, which was sold to Atlas.sk in 2004. He also co-founded internet bookstore Martinus.sk in 2000, where he is currently CEO and co-owner. He was awarded EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 in Slovak Republic, TREND TOP Manager of the Year 2018 and was featured in lists as Forbes 30 Under 30 and New Europe 100 list of innovators, compiled by Financial Times and Google.

Tomáš works in Fpt Slovakia as an IoT specialist, consultant and programmer. He studied Cybernetics and Industrial Electrical Engineering at Technical University of Košice. He has work experience in many different parts of IoT, from manufacturing to research and development. That means he has a broad knowledge of hardware and software and also their connections and integrations into cloud systems. He applied his first patent when he was 24. Currently, he is working in research and implementation of solutions in smart building and smart homes management. He shares his knowledge as a lecturer in dual education system. In his spare time, he supports local IT events as a mentor, speaker or judge.
Before graduating with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Paris Business School in France, he has also graduated from Faculty of Management at the Comenius University in Bratislava.
Miroslav has been working with the VSE Group since 2005. In 2006, he became the Chief of Marketing Division, responsible for the sales management of electricity. After the Group’s re-organisation in the first half of 2014, he is also a Member of the Board of Directors. Additionally, he is the CEO of the gas provider innogy Slovakia.
Manager, architect and a consultant who has been focusing on the client account and ledger industry for the past 20 years. Peter has also been a part of the most transformative projects in Slovak health insurance and utilities. He is a co-founder and chief architect of the east Slovakian spin-off Empirica, which aims to compete with SAP, Oracle or Microsoft and provide a flexible, fully open and service oriented platform for utilities, insurance and tax collection.
Peter loves sports, he is a long time runner (half marathon under 1:30), but his latest obsession is mountain biking.
Tomáš Žáček is one of the authors and founders of the Ecocapsule project – semi off-grid, sustainable micro-unit with original design, known around the world. Tomáš is also a partner of architectural studio nice&wise, founded in 2009. After studying at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Tomáš gained experienced in acclaimed architectural studios across Europe, such as BIG in Copenhagen, Mitchell and Associates in Dublin or Willy Muller Arquitectos in Dublin and elsewhere. Nowadays, he is the head of Innovation Lab in Ecocapsule. Apart from architecture and Ecocapsule, his hobbies are football and books.
Matej Ftáčnik is a co-founder and a CEO of Vacuumlabs, a software company offering fintech solutions from San Francisco to Tokyo. Currently, they are working with over 60 clients, namely Standard Chartered in Hong Kong, for which they build a digital bank MOX, or the Swedish fintech Doconomy, which Vaccumlabs made a unique CO2 calculator for. Vacuumlabs is also active in legal, crypto and healthcare segments. Matej Ftáčnik is also a devoted civil rights advocate for minorities, who follows his own rules. One of them being “If you are the only one able to change something, you must do it”. He is behind the idea of Daylight, the first LGBT+ bank in the USA, which he founded during the pandemic. Last year they launched Covid-19 tests, which allowed their employees to work from their actual office. Even during the corona crisis, Vacuumlabs managed to grow and expand into new markets. Matej explains that it is because of their “employee first” philosophy.
David Hamilton is a healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience in the services and digital industries space. As Group Vice President of GlobalLogic’s Healthcare and Life Sciences business, David helps clients redefine the customer / patient experience and identify new business opportunities through technologies like AI, RPA, IoT, Cloud, and Telehealth.
Prior to joining GlobalLogic, David served as Vice President and General Manager at DXC Technology, where he ran a $1.5B team for the company’s U.S. state and local Health & Human Services (HHS) business, as well as the non-health technology business serving the state, provincial, and local markets in the U.S. and Canada. Previously, he was Group President and General Manager for Xerox/Conduent’s government healthcare business, which he restructured into the company’s highest-performing unit. Before Xerox/Conduent, David was Senior Vice President of Enterprise Services at Siemens Healthcare and led the National Accounts Healthcare & Life Sciences team at Cognizant. He also served as CIO at both Tufts/Managed Comp and Delta Dental Plan.
David received a B.S. from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire. He is a Fellow in the AHIP-sponsored Academy of Healthcare Management (FAHM), a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and an Executive Advisory Board member of Mental Health America. David is a frequent speaker at healthcare services and technology events such as HIMSS, CHIME, MESC, WEDI, and AHIP.
Eduard Suchánek is a Country Manager in Bolt, one of the fastest growing tech companies in Europe. Bolt has over 50 millions users in more than 40 countries across Europe and Africa and provides them with modern mobility services (ride-hailing, electric scooters, electric bicycles, car sharing) and food and package delivery. In Slovakia, Bolt is a leader in taxi transport and micromobility, while it keeps expanding their food delivery product Bolt Food. Suchánek and his team managed to launch grocery delivery in Bratislava and Košice in a record time of 48 hours after the first lockdown. Similarly, they launched the Bolt Food app in Košice within 14 days, from the start of the project to the finished product. Thanks to their adaptation to the covid era and expansion of their food delivery and electric scooters services, Bolt was able to secure paying their drivers’ wages during taxi transport ban and at the same time, provided safe and contactless public transport with their electric scooters.
Miriama Hučková is Executive Director of Košice IT Valley, which is currently the only GOLD Label certified cluster in Slovakia and was the first of its kind in the CEE region. In the past, Miriama was a Senior Analyst at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic for over 3 years. She was making policies for increasing innovative performance of Slovakia, Smart City concept and international collaboration. Miriama gained a Master’s Degree in Law from University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice.
Radovan is a graduate from the Engineering faculty of Technical University of Košice. He is a professor and innovator in biomedical engineering, a specialist in medical additive manufacturing, bioadditive manufacturing and biomaterial and bioreactors development. He passed multiple traineeships across the world, namely at Ghent University (Belgium), University of Illinois at Chicago (USA), Bialystok University of Technology (Poland) and Faculty of Biomedical Engineering CTU in Prague.
Radovan is the Director of Institute of Special Engineering Processes and Department of Biomedical Engineering and Measurement at the Engineering faculty of TUKE.
His systematic work in a long term collaboration with professor Jozef Žifčák resulted in over 300 different implants, used all over the world. Radovan initiated and co-founded 3 companies in the biomedical and additive manufacturing industry, all of which are still active and successful today. He also received multiple awards: Grand Medal of Samuel Mikovíni for conducting applied research of regenerative and implant methods in the craniofacial area and experimental and clinical research, plurified by mesenchymal stem cells (2014), an Award for the Best Journalistic Contribution in Work Quality segment (2015), Person of the Year Award in category Technology (2016) and Top Innovation Award in Healthcare (2017). Radovan is a founder of YBERC (Young Biomedical Engineers and Researchers Conference) and a member of the Top Research Team in Engineering and Technology. He was also a member of Board of Supervisors at Technology and Innovations park TIP-UPJŠ in Košice, and consultant of rector at University of Hradec Králové in Czech Republic. He was a Lead Coordinator of 13 projects (one of which was a part of the Horizon 2020 projects), Deputy Coordinator of 4 projects and Coordinator of 21 other projects.
Currently, Radovan is a member of a “Healthy Society” work group at Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. Up to this day, he was invited to and given 19 expert speeches. 8 of those abroad, for example in Grove, Oxfordshire (EUM 2015 Conference, Formula 1 Williams Conference Center), Frankfurt (FORMNEXT 2015 conference and expo), in Prague (IUPESM 2018 conference) and Minsk (Dental Implantology conference, 2018).
Radovan is coordinating postgraduate students and researchers, who further develop biomedical engineering in Slovakia. In Division of International Relations and Mobilities at TUKE, Radovan is leading a project of European Universities Initiative called Ulysseus, which integrates 6 acclaimed European universities. His hobbies are books, sports and writing poetry.
Marek is a General Manager of Primary Operations & Operations Transformations USSK at U.S. Steel Košice inc. During his 19 years in USS corporation, Marek worked in multiple manufacturing positions, both in the factory in Košice and Gary Works in the USA. He studied Technological Management in the BERG Faculty at the Technical University of Košice and Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh.
Marek is responsible for all manufacturing indexes and their continuous rise, which is why he deploys Advanced Analytics tools.
After graduating from high school, Matej worked as a network administrator and designer. Matej has 20 years of experience in Linux, self-taught at first and from 2006 as a part of DTITSO, where his first position was Senior System Engineer. Over the following years, he held several senior positions, in 2012 he became an ICT Consultant and four years later an ICT Architect of Big Data. Today, Matej is a Lead Architect and designs exabyte-scale systems and clusters for big data.
Graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science at the Makassed High School in Beirut, Lebanon. Later, Fadi studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics in the Technical University of Košice. His career started in 2008 in Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia, where his first position was Junior DB Administrator. Fadi moved through a number of senior positions, with his main duties being Big Data and ICT. Today, he is a Lead Architect, primarily focused on Edge Computing. In 2020, Fadi became a KeyPlayer of DTITSO.
He graduated in Electric Power Engineering at the Technical University in Košice. He started his career at Konex Elektro as a sales representative and a department head. Since 1997, he was employed in ABB Elektro, s.r.o. Bratislava. First, as a software engineer, later as a project manager, a head of unit, a sales director and since 2003, as a director of the Energy Facilities Division. At the beginning of 2005, he joined Východoslovenská energetika a.s. as a director responsible for the Grid Operations Division, a position he held until the end of 2013. In 2008, he also became a member of the Board of Directors and held this position until 31 March 2014. On 1 April 2014, he was appointed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s. At the same time, he is responsible for the technical area in VSD, mostly for the asset management, control, operation, construction and maintenance of the distribution system.
Peter joined VSD in 2015, immediately after graduating from the Technical University in Košice. He joined the Electrical measurements department in the Inspection division, as a specialist in processes and analytics. Projects he worked on were aimed at decreasing losses in VSD’s distribution network.
From 2018, Peter is an Innovations manager in the Asset management division. His main job is to implement new technology to the distribution network, including both energetical and software projects.
Currently, he is deploying a new workflow – management platform, redesigning VSD’s website and creating a new department of Business analysis.
He gained his PhD degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at Technical University of Košice in 2006. Dodan has been working in IT for his whole career, in different managerial positions. He has built multiple IT services providing new tech for clients in utilities, mainly operating in Europe and USA. From 2018, Dodan is Vice Director, and as a Head of Delivery manages over 300 talented IT engineers. He is also an active voice in the IT community of Košice region and is currently Head of the Supervisory Board of the Košice IT Valley Group.
He started his career in energetics 15 years ago as a .NET developer. In the meantime, he moved from his keyboard closer to customers and with multiple stops at managerial positions in “delivery”, he reached the creative space of business development. Today, Emil manages one of FPT Software’s TOP 10 clients. The client is the Germany-based EON – one of the largest utility companies in Europe. Emil is “in the zone” with one of Europe’s and energetics’ key players. So far, his career included a number of transformations, most notably his own successful company FPT Czech.
